How do I connect my phone to my Simarine PICO?

The Simarine PICO App is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android devices on the Google Play Store.  The Simarine App allows users to to view live data, change settings, and update firmware on from their phone.  To connect your smartphone to your Simarine system, please take the following steps:

STEP 1:   Download the latest version of the Simarine App from the App Store for iPhone or the Google Play store for Android using the QR codes or links below: -

STEP 2:   Ensure that your Simarine PICO's Wi-Fi module is enabled.  It should be broadcasting by default, but if it is not then open the settings and tap > WI-FI > OPERATION > ON.

STEP 3:   Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone and find the network called "Picoxxxx".  The default network name will be "Pico<last four digits of the serial number>" and the password will be "pico<first four digits of the serial number>".  For example, if your Simarine PICO serial number is 12345678, then the network name will be "Pico5678" and the password will be "pico1234".  If you do not know the serial number of your Simarine PICO, it can be found on a sticker on the back of the screen or in the menu under > SYSTEM > SYSTEM INFO.

STEP 4:   If you cannot find the serial number if the password has been changed, it should also be viewable in the menu under WI-FI > WI-FI RESET.  You do not need to complete the reset and can just copy the network name and password before exiting back to the menu.

STEP 5:   Once you have successfully connected to the Simarine PICO's Wi-Fi network, you can launch the Simarine PICO App and click "LIVE VIEW" or "CONNECT".

STEP 6:   You can now use the App to view live data from the Simarine PICO, program settings and upgrade firmware.  You might also want to back up your Simarine PICO's settings to your phone in the event that you perform a factory reset or make accidental changes.
