You need open resistive inputs or open voltage inputs to add a tank sender to your Simarine PICO. The type of input you require will depend on the type of tank sender you are planning to install. If you are using ENERDRIVE | DOMETIC rod style sensors, then a resistive input will be required. If you are using ENERDRIVE | DOMETIC SI-TPS pressure sensors, then a voltage input will be required.
Resistive and Voltage inputs for tanks can be found on the SC303, SC503, SCQ25T, ST107, and SC302T. The steps will be the same regardless of which module you plan to use. The following guide will show how to add a tank through the use of the Simarine PICO screen only. If you are programming your Simarine PICO through your smartphone, you will still follow this guide but navigate via touchscreen instead of the arrow and circle buttons on the Simarine PICO.
STEP 1: Press the circle button to enter the settings menu and use the arrow keys to scroll down to "DEVICES"
STEP 2: Press the circle button to enter the "DEVICES" menu and use the arrow keys to scroll down to "TANKS"
STEP 3: Press the circle button to enter the "TANKS" menu and press the circle button again to select "Add new"
STEP 4: Name the tank accordingly (e.g. DRINKING, SHOWER, GRAY WATER, etc.)
STEP 5: Select the tank type (e.g. WATER, FUEL, WASTEWATER)
STEP 6: Choose either a resistance or voltage type sensor
STEP 7: Choose the sensor from the list of available sensors
STEP 8: Enter the tank capacity
STEP 9: Set the calibration points. A minimum of two points is required, but more calibration points will improve accuracy. Up to 11 points can be added. For each calibration point, enter the tank volume and the corresponding sensor value. If you do not know the values, add a known quantity of water to the tank and then select use current value. Repeat this step until the tank is full.
STEP 10: Confirm and save the tank configuration with the back arrow. Repeat these steps until all tanks have been entered into the Simarine PICO. They should now be visible on one the Simarine PICO's screens once you exit the menu.
