Before doing a firmware upgrade, please make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
STEP 1: Download the latest version of the Simarine App from the App Store for iPhone or the Google Play store for Android using the QR codes or links below: -

STEP 2: Close (terminate) the App if it’s already opened – it requires a fresh start.
STEP 3: Restart the Simarine PICO – either through disconnecting and connecting it to power, or if you have a newer version of the firmware, press UP and DOWN arrows, on the home screen, at the same time.
As soon as the SIMARINE logo appears, press and hold the left arrow button.
Warning: You must be quick as the logo disappears quickly.
Under the SIMARINE LOGO on the display a series of dots will appear and afterwards your device will enter in the Emergency Firmware Upgrade mode (image above right). You can now release the left arrow key.
STEP 3: Connect your phone to the WiFi of your PICO device. If you are unsure how to do this you can find the instructions here.
STEP 4: Open the Simarine App on your phone.
STEP 5: Click the "FIRMWARE UPGRADE" button.
You will be prompted to choose which version of the firmware you want to install. You can choose between the stable version and the beta version. In case you would like to report a problem with a firmware or the firmware upgrade procedure please write to support@simarine.net.
After upgrading your device
After your device is upgraded, we suggest you turn the device OFF and ON again, by either toggling the power supply OFF and ON, or you can do it through the monitor by pressing and holding both (up and down) arrows on the home screen and confirm the action. The device will turn OFF and ON again.
