The ePOWER Industrial range of battery chargers can be programmed with a charge profile (algorithm) to suit most batteries. The default profile suits Trojan T105 batteries (b02). You can change the charge profile at any time via the USB port on the front of the charger.
NOTE: You will require a formatted (FAT32) USB memory stick with a capacity of 1024KB or larger
Please follow the steps below to change the charge profile.
STEP 1: Download and save the charge profile listing here.
STEP 2: Each model of ePOWER Industrial Charger has its own tab in the spread sheet. Choose the tab that matches your charger. See the image below for reference.
STEP 3: Select a charge profile from the list that matches the chemistry and capacity of the battery you are planning to charge.
STEP 4: Right click on the Charge profile file in the "Charge Profile" column and click "Copy". See the image below for reference.
STEP 5: "Paste" the copied charge profile on to your USB memory stick and eject the USB stick from your computer
STEP 6: Make sure the charger is not connect to the battery or AC power.
STEP 7: Unscrew the round cap covering the USB port on the front of the charger and insert the USB stick
STEP 8: Plug the AC power cord into the charger
STEP 9: Allow up to 1 minute for programming. Programming is complete once the USB status LED is solid, or if your charger has an LCD display, it will show "don"
STEP 10: Disconnect the charger from AC power and wait 30 seconds for the capacitors to drain.
STEP 11: Remove the USB stick and replace the screw-on cap
STEP 12: Reconnect the charger to AC power and confirm that the charge profile has been installed. The LED lights on the charger will blink a series of flashes to confirm the charge profile number, or if your charger has an LCD display, it will show the letter "b" followed by the charge profile number (e.g. b18). More information on how to read the display can be found here.
STEP 13: Disconnect the charger from AC power
STEP 14: Connect the charger to the battery
STEP 15: Reconnect the charger to AC power to commence charging
ePOWER Industrial chargers can be programmed with a custom charge profile for batteries that are not listed. If you cannot find a suitable charge profile for your batteries, please contact Enerdrive Support. You will need to supply all relevant battery charging specifications for the Enerdrive support team to create a custom charge profile.
