Moving the Remote Display
The Transfer models of inverter come with a removable remote display and remote extension cable. This allows you to install your inverter controls in a convenient place, even when the inverter itself has been placed somewhere that is inaccessible.
To relocate your display, simply remove the the two screws holding it in place with a Phillips #0 screwdriver and unplug the short RJ-12 cable connected to the back of the screen. Install the display in your desired location and use the included 7.5m remote cable to connect the display to the inverter. The Ferrite Bead Filter (black plastic case at one end of the cable) should be installed close to the inverter.
Shortening the Remote Cable
WARNING: If you plan on shortening the cable and recrimping it, the cable must be unplugged at both ends before cutting it. Failure to completely unplug the cable could cause permanent damage to the inverter or the remote.
Make sure that the terminals are aligned so that the cable crosses over (e.g. Blue wire in Pin 1 one end and Pin 6 at the opposite end). Use the picture below for reference.
It is very important to ensure that the cable between your remote and inverter is well crimped with the terminals in the correct orientation. You also need to make sure that your cable is free of any damage and not located in a place where it could be rubbed, chafed, or nicked by accident. A poor or damaged connection between your remote and inverter can result in problems when operating your inverter.
