To ensure all involved parties are compliant with the Australian Dangerous Goods Code there are some specific requirements to be met when transporting Class 9 Lithium Ion Batteries by Road or Rail.
⚡Class 9 Lithium Batteries of this size and nature cannot be transported by airfreight.
📦 Pack It Up Securely
- Package your battery for return in a suitable box
- Make sure it’s well padded and protected, especially underneath and packed so the Battery cant be damaged in transit
- Provide the dimensions of the packed box (L x W x H) and an estimated weight (Battery + Packaging) by replying to your Enerdrve ticket.
- Place on each side of the package the Enerdrive Dangerous Goods Label. (File Located at bottom of this article)
- If you are returning a Enerdrive BTEC Generation 3 (BTEC Ultra) please ensure the Battery is turned OFF.

‼️Note. Batteries Cannot be collected by the courier unless packaged and labelled correctly. If the package is not suitable or the required labels are not fitted or required documents available the courier may not collect the package.

- The following batteries are required to be secured to a "Skid" or Pallet for collection and transport due to their weight.
EPL-100BT-36v, EPL-200BT-12V-SLIM, EPL-300BT-12V-G2, EPL-300BT-12V-G3, EPL-300BTM-12V, EPL-400BTM-12V, Pro-Series. If you do not have a "skid" or Pallet available please advise the Enerdrive Support team so arrangements can be made. you can also refer to this article on returning items on a pallet \ skid
⚠️Note: Enerdrive cannot guarantee pick up times for the day the pick up is booked. If no one will be home, let us know of a safe and secure place where the parcel can be left for collection. It is advised to not leave high value items in unsecure locations.
ℹ️ Once we have all of the above required info, we’ll book a controlled return with our transport provider — at no cost to you!
Enerdrive will then email you the Return Instructions Booking Update, a copy of the MSDS and Courier Freight labels which will need to be secured to the item(s) being returned.
🚨Note: Please ensure the supplied Freight Labels, Dangerous Goods Labels are affixed to the package and a copy of the MSDS and Dangerous Goods Manifest is completed and signed and made available for the courier. If any of these items are missing or not available the courier may not collect the package.

⚠️ Important Note:
If the returned product is found to be not faulty or not covered under warranty, you may be charged for:
- Testing time
- Inbound and outbound freight costs
- Cost for Repairs (after your authorization do carry out a repair)
⚡Dangerous Goods transport takes longer than General Freight. Depending on your location Transport time can exceed 2 weeks for a Battery to arrive at the nearest Enerdrive Service Centre.
